Fees

  • What are the application fees? The application fee is $24 per applicant. 
  • Is there a reservation fee? Yes, there is a $250 reservation fee.  Once approved, this fee is applied towards your security deposit. 
  • What is the security deposit? We currently offer a reduced security deposit of $500 for applicants who meet certain criteria.

Utilities and Renters Insurance

  • Who pays for utilities? Residents pay for electric and water, based on individual usage.  Internet and cable are also paid by the resident.  The landlord covers trash removal. 
  • Is renters insurance required? Yes, all residents are required to obtain renters’ liability insurance.

Furnished Apartments

  • Are the apartments furnished? Our apartment homes come unfurnished. 
  • Do you offer furniture rental options? Yes, we partner with American Furniture Rental, which provides discounted furniture packages.  You can click here to see pricing, including student package information.

Location

  • Where is The Hub on Chestnut located? We are ideally located on Chestnut Street in University City, just minutes from the University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University, and the University of the Sciences. 
  • How is public transportation access? Bus service is available at your doorstep, and the Market-Frankford SEPTA line is just one block away.

Parking

  • Is on-site parking available? Our community does not provide on-site parking. 
  • What are the parking options nearby? Street metered parking is available.  The University of Pennsylvania also offers parking to their students and staff; you can find details at their facilities website.  You can also check out other nearby parking options by visiting parking.com.

Pets

  • What is your pet policy? We love your furry friends! You’re welcome to have up to two pets. Just so you know, we do have a list of restricted breeds.
    Pet Fees:
    Up to 50 lbs: $300 non refundable pet fee – $50 monthly pet rent.
    51 to 100 lbs: $500 non refundable pet fee – $75 monthly pet rent.
    100 to 130 lbs: $1000 non refundable pet fee – $100 monthly pet rent.
  • What if I don’t have a pet? Even if you don’t have a pet, we ask all residents to complete a free Pet Screening Profile. It’s a quick and easy way to acknowledge our pet policies and helps us keep everyone on the same page.
